Project Location:

Three Mile Road along I-275 in Campbell County

Project Manager:

Lindsey Soto

Project Code:

C705-ENG-077-01

Timeline:

November 2025 - Summer 2026

Why the Need

When heavy rain overwhelms the sewer system, it can lead to street flooding and sewer overflows. SD1 is upgrading part of the system along Three Mile Road to help reduce these problems and protect nearby homes, businesses and the environment.

This project builds on previous improvements to the Licking River Siphon and will support future upgrades as part of SD1’s Clean H2O40 program.

What It Involves

Installation of about 3,300 feet of larger pipe along Three Mile Road toward I-275.

What You Can Expect

To install the new pipe, crews will dig trenches and use heavy equipment. During construction, you may notice:

  • Workers and equipment along Three Mile Road

  • Normal construction noise during daytime hours

  • Detours for through traffic

  • Temporary driveway restrictions (residents/businesses will get at least 48 hours’ notice)

SD1 inspectors will be on-site to help keep the project safe and minimize disruptions.
