Customer Assistance Program

Brighton Center - A Community of SupportSD1 has partnered with the Brighton Center to establish a Customer Assistance Program for low-volume customers who qualify for financial assistance.

The program offers a 20% discount on residential sanitary sewer bills and is available to SD1 customers who meet the following qualifications:

  • At or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines (see chart)
  • At or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines for customers who are 65 years of age or older
  • "Usage factor" of 2 or 3 on a recent SD1 bill.

More than 8 Persons

For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $5,500 for each additional person to determine poverty guideline and then multiply by 150% or 200%, as applicable.
