The following action items passed by majority vote during the regular meeting of the Sanitation District No.1 Board of Directors held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
- Acceptance of the February 20, 2024, SD1 Board of Directors meeting minutes.
- Awarded contracts for Bio-Solids Waste Disposal Services to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder per location, Bavarian Trucking Company, in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $880,000 and Rumpke of Northern Ohio, in the amount submitted with its bid for a total of $1,149,301.60.
- Awarded a contract for the Blasting and Coating of One Clarifier to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Markley’s Precision Company LLC, in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $83,488.
- Awarded a contract for the Dudley Building Roof Replacement to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Wm. Kramer & Son Inc., in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $82,865.
- Awarded a contract for the construction of the Madonna Lane and Memorial Parkway Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction – Construction to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Brackney, Inc., in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $1,875,297.
- Awarded contracts for Mowing Services to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder per location, Merkle Lawn Care, in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $25,448; The Davey Tree Expert Company, in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $20,370; and Butler Lawn Care, in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $38,720.
- Awarded a contract for PMIS/CMIS Systems to the proposer whose proposal is the best value for the district, PMWeb, in the amount submitted in their proposal for a five-year total of $590,000.
- Awarded a contract for the construction of Tank 1 EQ Madison Pike at Hands Pike and Wayman Branch to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Howell Contractors, in the amount submitted with its bid, for a total of $12,985,400.
- Approved 10 new requests for reservation of sanitary sewer capacity.
