The following action items passed by majority vote during the regular meeting of the Sanitation District No. 1 Board of Directors held Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
- Acceptance of the September 20, 2022, SD1 Board of Directors meeting minutes.
- Awarded contracts for Wireless Flow Meters, Level Sensors and Rain Gauges to ADS LLC, Gripp Inc., and Ayyeka, in the amount submitted with their bids, not to exceed a maximum amount of $85,000.
- Awarded a contract for the Dry Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (DCWWTP) Diffuser Replacement to the lowest responsible bidder, Larry Smith, Inc., in the amount submitted with their bid, for a total of $387,000.
- Awarded a contract for Northern Boone County Sanitary Sewer Extension design services to the lowest responsible bidder with the best value, CT Consultants, in the amount submitted with their proposal, for a total of $233,420.
- Awarded a contract for Plan Services Review Supplemental Staff Support to Strand Associates, Inc., in the amount submitted with their proposal, for a total not to exceed $84,000.
- Four new requests for reservation of sanitary sewer capacity were approved by the Board.

About SD1
SD1 is responsible for the collection and treatment of northern Kentucky’s wastewater and also serves as the regional storm water management agency. SD1 is the second largest public sewer utility in Kentucky, serving more than 347,000 residents throughout Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties. SD1 maintains approximately 1,685 miles of sanitary-sewer system pipeline, 123 wastewater pumping stations, 15 flood pump stations, six package treatment plants, three major wastewater treatment plants, 442 miles of storm-sewer system and 32,915 storm-sewer structures.
