Board Meeting News Flash

The following action items passed by majority vote during the regular meeting of the Sanitation District No. 1 Board of Directors held Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

  1. Acceptance of the minutes of the January 18, 2022, SD1 Board of Directors meeting.
  2. Awarded contract for 48-50% Aluminum Sulfate Solution for the Eastern Regional Treatment Plant to Univar Solutions USA at the unit price submitted with its bid - $64,020.
  3. Awarded design services contract for the Bellevue River Front CSO Reduction project to Integrated Engineering PLLC in the amount submitted with its bid - $95,880.
  4. Awarded design services contract for the Newport Festival Park CSO Reduction project to Integrated Engineering PLLC in the amount submitted with its bid - $95,880.
  5. Awarded contract for the Cleveland Ave Storm Sewer Realignment to Lonkard Construction Company at the unit prices submitted with is bid - $223,426.
  6. Awarded a contract for the River Water Intrusion Groups 2 & 3 Improvements, Bid Pkg B to Howell Contractors at the unit prices submitted with its bid - $3,628,625.
  7. Reservation of Capacity: six new requests for reservation of sanitary sewer capacity were approved by the Board.

About SD1
SD1 is responsible for the collection and treatment of northern Kentucky’s wastewater and also serves as the regional storm water management agency. SD1 is the second largest public sewer utility in Kentucky, serving more than 339,000 residents throughout Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties. SD1 maintains approximately 1,685 miles of sanitary-sewer system pipeline, 125 wastewater pumping stations, 15 flood pump stations, six package treatment plants, three major wastewater treatment plants, 433 miles of storm-sewer system and 32,300 storm-sewer structures.
