SD1 to Celebrate Cincinnati Reds Opening Day

The Cincinnati Reds will kick off their 2024 season on Thursday, March 28, with a 4:10 Opening Day home game against the Washington Nationals. We'll be celebrating Opening Day here at SD1 with a number of activities for staff, brought to you by SD1 Fun. 

Please plan to join us in the Collection Systems Garage (also at the treatment plants) between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., for free hot dogs, peanuts, chips, drinks and a box of Cracker Jacks. We'll get things started with a brief message from Executive Director Adam Chaney at 11:30 a.m., and then food will be served.

Staff are also encouraged to participate in this year's Reds Wins Prediction Contest at https://forms.office.com/g/kfBV32DMW0. Just guess how many wins the Reds will record this season and, as a tie-breaker, how many total runs they will score. The staff member who gets closest will win a $100 gift card to the local chili parlor of their choosing.

We'll also be having raffle drawings and giving away great Reds prizes all day long! Staff do not need to be present to enter the Wins Prediction Contest or win any of the Opening Day raffle prizes.

March 28 will also be a casual day, and SD1 staff are encouraged to wear your Reds gear and send a pic to photos@SD1.org.
