Third Annual SD1 Trail of Terror is Next Week

As a quick reminder, SD1 will host its third annual Trail of Terror staff pumpkin decorating contest next week, from October 23-27. This is your chance to show off your creativity, impress (or terrify) your coworkers, and win great prizes!

Anyone interested will register their decorated pumpkin between 8 a.m. and noon on Monday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 24, in Human Resources. Your pumpkin will be assigned a number and placed along the walking trail at the Public Service Park. Staff at the treatment plants can bring your decorated pumpkins to Janet Malone, and she'll make sure they get placed on the trail as well. There is no limit to how many pumpkins a staff member (or their family) can register - just keep everything rated PG.

Photos of each pumpkin will be posted on The Pipeline, and staff will have an opportunity to vote October 25-26. Winners will be announced on October 27 at 10 a.m. First prize is a $100 Amazon gift card; second prize is a $75 Amazon gift card; third prize is a $50 Amazon gift card; and three honorable mentions will be awarded a $25 gift card.

Pumpkins do NOT have to be carved - they can be painted or decorated any other way. They don't even have to be real pumpkins - decorated plastic pumpkins are also allowed. The only limits are your own imagination.
