Chris Peters Promoted
to Inventory Specialist in Training
As part of our new Strategic Business Plan Workforce Empowerment goal, SD1 is committed to hiring, training and developing top talent.
We believe strongly in promotion from within, and I am pleased to share that Chris Peters has been promoted to Inventory Specialist in Training. Chris was previously a member of the Asset Maintenance Crew.
In his new role, Chris is responsible for signing out tools and supplies from lockup, receiving and unloading shipments and packages, assisting the construction crews with loading and unloading materials, picking up supplies and parts from local suppliers, assisting with weekly/monthly/bi-annual cycle counts of supplies, maintaining the indoor parts warehouse and outside pipe yard area, and supporting Asset Renewal, Asset Maintenance, Pump Stations and other departments as needed.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing current members of our team grow and develop into new roles here at the District. Chris begins his new role on October 24, so be sure to congratulate him the next time you see him.
