Mike Stevens Named
SD1 Director of Collections
We are pleased to announce that Mike Stevens has been selected to be the next Director of Collections. Mike has been with the District since August 2020 as the Asset Renewal Manager in Department 2. In that role, he managed the repair, replacement and renewal of sanitary and storm water collection system assets.
Prior to coming to SD1, Mike worked for the Collier County (Naples) Florida Public Utilities Department and he spent 14 years with the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati, most recently as Senior Engineer in 2016.
He is a registered professional engineer with over 19 years of experience in the wastewater industry. He is also a certified Project Management Professional. Mike earned his B.S. in Paper Science and Engineering from Miami University.
As Director of Collections, Mike will oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of the District’s collection systems, which includes the network of wastewater and storm water collection pipes, pump stations and other collection-system-related infrastructure, to ensure the efficient, reliable and safe operation of the system.
