Changes to SD1 Organizational Structure

As part of SD1's commitment to continuous improvement, a number of changes to the organizational structure are being made, effective immediately, to enhance operational efficiency and reporting structures and to develop succession pathways for qualified employees.

In anticipation of Ralph Johnstone's retirement in June, we are pleased to report that Rob Schroeder has been selected as Senior Director of Engineering. With Rob's advancement, SD1 anticipates filling two other senior-level positions: Senior Director of Operations and Senior Director of Administration. The timeline for these positions is to be determined. Until filled, operations and administration directors will be reporting to the Executive Director.

Spencer Stork, Director of Design and Construction, will be reporting to Rob Schroeder along with the position of Director of Infrastructure and Capital Planning, which is now vacant because of Rob's promotion. This position will be posted immediately.

The Senior Director of Operations, a position that is currently open, will oversee Asset Management, Plant Operations, and Collections.

In addition, there will be a Senior Director of Administration - which will oversee Finance, Information Technology and Water Resources.
