Upcoming Changes to SD1's COVID-19 Response Protocols
The SD1 COVID-19 Response Team has announced some upcoming changes to the District's COVID-19 response protocols. They are as follows: - The Families First Coronavirus Response Act was originally enacted in March of 2020 and voluntarily extended by SD1 on January 1. Given the lack of active cases at the District in recent months and the availability of the vaccine to all staff, we have decided not to further extend the FFCRA benefits. These benefits will expire on March 31, 2021.
- We care about the health and safety of our staff - therefore, staff do not have to claim sick or vacation time for worktime missed to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
Beginning May 1, 2021: - SD1 will resume tracking occurrences for absences with three exceptions. Staff will not accrue an occurrence for an absence if: (1) they have recently tested positive for COVID-19; (2) they are caring for a dependent who has recently tested positive for COVID-19; or (3) they are experience an adverse reaction to a COVID-19 vaccine.
- SD1 will discontinue daily disinfection of common areas and door handles throughout the building. Disinfectant spray and/or wipes will continue to be made available.
- SD1 will allow multiple staff members to ride in the same vehicle if all staff members are wearing a mask.
- The lobby restroom will reopen.
- Outside tours of the Public Service Park will resume with masks and social distancing.
Our primary protocols will remain in place as long as required by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
SD1 Primary Protocols: - When moving through our facilities or interacting with others, wear a mask.
- Maintain proper social distance at all times.
- Wash or sanitize your hands often.
