Nov. 4, 2023: Get Rid of Your Old Paint, Batteries and Other Hazardous Waste for Free
Do you have used electronics, batteries or other household hazardous waste items that you need to dispose of? We can help! Join a free household hazardous waste collection event on November 4, 2023, from 9 AM to 2 PM at Thomas More Stadium (7950 Freedom Way Florence, KY 41042).
Residents of Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties are welcome to attend.
Items Accepted:
- Aerosol cans
- Antifreeze (no mixtures)
- Batteries (all types)
- Corrosives/flammables (fuel and kerosene)
- Electronics (PCs, laptops, cellphones, etc.)
- Ink/toner cartridges
- Light bulbs (including 4 ft. and 8 ft. CFL bulbs)
- Oil/fluids (motor oil and brake, hydraulic and transmission fluid)
- Paint (limit of 10 cans per vehicle)
- Pesticides (limit of 2 gallons or 2 lbs. per vehicle)
- Tanks/cylinders (20 lbs. per vehicle)
- TVs (limit of 2 per vehicle
Items Not Accepted:
Paper, appliances, furniture/mattresses, fertilizer, mercury-containing devices, medications, tires.

You must have a registration form filled out. Go to SD1.org/HHW to print a form. Note: You will be redirected to Campbell County’s website to print the form.
