Welcome to Sanitation District No. 1’s (District) award-winning Dry Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Located in Villa Hills, Kentucky, this plant cleans industrial, commercial and residential wastewater from portions of Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Northern Kentucky. This facility, which entered operation in 1979, treats an average of 33 million gallons of wastewater per day from over 94,000 customer accounts within the District’s service area. The plant is operated 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, by a dedicated and experienced staff.
This virtual tour will take you through the entire wastewater treatment process; from the point at which the incoming flow enters the plant, to the moment the treated flow is discharged into the Ohio River.
