Who will have to pay?
Property owners, including schools, churches and local governments in the Storm Water Service Area, as defined by the Kentucky Division of Water, will be required to pay. Those who are not currently served by SD1 will have to pay if they own property within the identified service area. Properties classified as agricultural or unimproved properties may be exempt from the fee.
When will you be billed?
Beginning in August 2003, SD1 quarterly bills will include the new storm water fee. Those who are not currently customers, but reside in the storm water service area will also begin receiving a quarterly statement from SD1 for the storm water services.
