  • A large amount of rainfall is entering the sanitary system causing manholes throughout Lakeside Park to overflow.  (Inflow and Infiltration)

Inflow and Infiltration
11
Inflow and Infiltration
  • Inflow Sources – these are typically driveway drains, downspouts, area drains, stairwell drains or catch basins which are direct connections of storm water into the sanitary sewer system.
  • Infiltration – these sources are through cracked pipes, open joints in the sanitary lines and laterals.

Why your cooperation is so    important
  • All homes must be tested to insure that both systems (Sanitary & Storm) are working properly and all sources of pollution are eliminated from the Storm Water System, both public and private.
  • Repairing both systems at the same time will allow for efficient use of resources and minimize the impact to you, the residents.
