Schedule a visit from Splash McClean today!
Splash McClean is SD1's fish mascot. Splash helps children understand how human behavior can affect fish and wildlife habitats.
SD1 offers presentations about wastewater and storm water topics to groups of all ages. These presentations provide real-world knowledge and equip participants to apply what they have learned.
Some of our specific presentations are detailed below. If you would like a presentation on a related topic that is not listed, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request.
Invite SD1 to give your students or group the opportunity to play different roles in the community. Through our interactive presentation using a model of a town, we will show participants how human behavior can affect waterways.
*Note to fourth and fifth grade teachers: This presentation coincides with lesson one of SD1’s environmental unit. You can schedule SD1 to teach this lesson for you or you may borrow the model to teach the lesson yourself.
Invite SD1 to give your students or group the opportunity to learn about the components of a wastewater collection and treatment system. Through our interactive presentation using a model of a town, find out what happens to water when it leaves a building, before it returns to the environment.
