SD1 Projects in Campbell County

Below is a list of projects that are currently in progress in Campbell County:

US27 and AA Highway Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project Project Description: SD1 is currently considering several options for a large-scale sanitary sewer improvement project that would add capacity to the sewer system, allowing for future growth in Campbell County and reducing wet-weather sewer overflows. The majority of the work would occur in the U.S. Route 27 and AA Highway corridor, though four different alignment options are under consideration. Each option would also include upgrades to existing pump stations in the area and thousands of feet of new sanitary sewer force main and gravity sewer pipes.

Learn more about these options and how you can provide your input on the project webpage

Vernon Lane Sewer Rehabilitation Project
Project Description: As part of this multi-phase project, SD1 installed new public sanitary and storm sewer pipes on Vernon Lane; south of St. Nicholas Place; along Chalfonte Court; on Linden Court; south of Linden Avenue; and south of Tremont Avenue, as shown in the project map

Work on the public sewers is now complete, but some property owners still must disconnect their private property storm drains (downspouts, driveway drains, sump pumps, etc.) from the sanitary sewer system. Private property owners who must perform disconnection work will be contacted on an individual basis about this issue.

Together, the public and private work will help eliminate overflows that occur in the neighborhood when it rains. These overflows spill raw sewage containing harmful bacteria and other pollutants into creeks and yards, threatening public health and the environment.
