SD1’s award-winning Dry Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant became operational in 1979. This Villa Hills, Kentucky plant can treat up to 46.5 million gallons a day (mgd) of industrial, commercial and residential wastewater from Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties. Dry Creek, which is SD1’s largest treatment plant, functions with a dedicated and experienced staff seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

SD1 can accommodate up to 60 visitors per tour session. All middle/high school students and adults are welcome! The tour lasts approximately one hour. Part of the tour is outside, so visitors should dress accordingly.
