If you are the owner of a non-residential property and you feel that you deserve a credit toward your storm water surcharge, you may apply for credit by utilizing the credit application. Sanitation District No. 1's credit policy grants credits for the following situations:
Zero Discharge: No storm water leaves your property.
Water Quantity: A retention or detention basin exists on your property that matches the post-development discharge to the pre-development discharge.
Water Quality: A District-approved Best Management Practice (BMP) exists on your property. The BMP must meet specific design criteria. The District's Regional Best Management Practices Manual includes approved BMPs and design specifications that are a continuous work in progress. Look for updates and modifications to the list and specifications in the future.
You may click on the underlined BMPs to view draft design specifications.
