Sanitation District No. 1 is committed to bridging the gap between what students learn in school and how to apply it to their personal life decisions, thereby empowering them to evoke a change of behavior in the real world. To do so, they need opportunities to develop and apply their role as protectors of the environment. The District has developed a diversified education program to provide the Northern Kentucky community with learning tools essential to understanding the vital importance of protecting and enhancing the natural environment that surrounds us.
Allow an SD1 representative to give your students the opportunity to the play the roles of farmers, industrial workers, golf course owners, developers, construction workers, and homeowners faced with the challenge to minimize and eliminate sources of point source and nonpoint source pollution.
Don’t miss this one-hour, hands-on, eye-opening demonstration! Using an interactive enviroscape model, we will show students how human behavior can impact our waterways.
