Sanitation District No. 1’s services have been recognized on both a local and national level. Recently, the District has been honored with the following awards:

Certified Red Cross Instructors, (from left to right) Brian Berens, Stu Mullikin, Pat Diesman and Bob Marshall of Sanitation District No. 1, were honored with the Proud Provider Plaque.

August 2008 NACWA (National Association for Clean Water Agencies): Gold Peak Performance Award -- Presented to Sanitation District No. 1 for achieving 100% compliance with their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits for the year.
Augst 2008 NACWA: Silver Peak Performance Award -- Presented to Sanitation District No. 1 for achieving no more than five violations within a calendar year.
2008 Kentucky-Tennessee Water Environment Association: Kentucky's 2008 Outstanding Watershed Project Award -- Presented to Sanitation District No. 1 for their Adaptive Watershed Management Approach.
April 2008 Cincinnati Area Chapter of the American Red Cross: Proud Provider Plaque: Presented to Sanitation District No. 1 for their efforts to provide quality health, safety and preparedness training
2007 The Volunteers of America, Ohio River Valley: Booth Spirit Award: Presented to Sanitation District No. 1 for the community service efforts made through their Zapper Team Building Program.
